Last year we received a request from a customer (Midwest Wraps) to donate a wrap to the mother of murder/rape victim Brittany Phillips. Brittany's mother, Dr. Maggie Zingman, is on a mission to catch her daughter's killer and is currently touring the country in her wrapped vehicle.
Dear Frank,
I am Dr. Maggie Zingman, mother of Brittany Phillips. I recently read the article about you in the Tulsa World and just today saw the article on the Mission on your website. I am currently on my 3rd CARAVAN and am in Richmond. I have communicated with Travis off-and-on, but have never had the opportunity to thank you. Every media story I do, I point to the car and note about your company and Midwest Wraps donating the "wrap." A picture speaks a thousand words and this wrap has been seen by thousands across the whole eastern US. Anyone riding behind me sees that you donated this, or often beside me. I can never repay you for the gift you have given our family. Brittany is able to continue to speak out about "wrongs" that are occurring and hopefully helps to save other daughters. At some point, when I am back in Tulsa, I want to be able to meet with you, shake your hand and let you see the look of never-ending gratitude that is in my eyes. If we ever get national media coverage, I would love them
being able to talk to you about why you did something like this.

A picture is worth a thousand words, and the before and after on this vehicle is no different. We've done work for A All Animal Control for years, but this was the first vehicle wrap. We knew it would increase their visibility and help them grow their business, but didn't realize just how much. The wrap paid for itself within a month with 40 new jobs. We know that the wrap was responsible for these jobs because A All Animal Control asked every caller how they heard about the business. Sharing this kind of success story with other companies who are considering vehicle wraps really helps sell them.
We had the company van wrapped about three months ago and it's already paid for itself. Our vehicle wrap has done a great job working for us when parked outside of our store, and has increased the number of initial calls that we receive from potential customers who say they saw the van in traffic. Our vehicle wrap also allows us to advertise in specific neighborhoods when we are making sales calls or doing installations. We get lots of calls from homeowners in the same neighborhood who see the van and want to learn more about our business. I had one customer tell me that she saw our van while driving but couldn't write the number down. Shortly after that she received one of our mailers and then she called --the van was definitely what piqued her interest. I would highly recommend a vehicle wrap to any business owner looking to improve their visibility and increase sales.
We are always trying to think of ways to make us stand out from the crowd, so we decided to wrap our delivery vehicles. We figured that would help us get noticed and make us different from all the other delivery cars around. We also wrapped our catering trucks, and I really think that helps us get noticed. We've picked up several jobs just from people that tell us they liked the food and saw our truck in the front so they knew who was catering the party.
We thought wraps were a little expensive when we started doing them but our opinion has really changed. They have more than paid for themselves with the new business they bring us. We'll never stop wrapping our trucks.
We found out the hard way that just using our Yellow Pages ad was not working. We needed something that people would notice and that would separate us from the run-of-the-mill Heating and Air Conditioning companies.
We started out wrapping just one truck and got such outstanding results from it that now everything we put on the road is wrapped. If it has wheels, it's wrapped. We probably get over 70% of our new business from people that have seen our trucks driving around. I would never go back to using unwrapped trucks. It's easily the best advertising we could have.
We first decided to wrap our trucks just to help us stand out from every other plumbing and heating company that's out there. We used Yellow Pages, Radio, and ValuePack Coupons but we still felt that we were getting mixed into the pot with everyone else. We wanted something that made us different.
When we first got our wrap we did not know what to expect, or even if it was going to work. Now we probably get 15 to 20 extra calls per week from people that have just seen our trucks around their neighborhood. We just landed a big customer last month that called because he said he saw the wrapped truck.
We wanted something that would draw attention to our store and separate us from everyone else in the same business. We would normally use Yellow Pages and Sight Signs, but we kept getting mixed into the same group as our competitors; so we wrapped our vehicle. Since we've wrapped it and kept it sitting outside our store, we have had a lot of walk-in customers that say, 'We did not even know you were here until we saw the car!' We're going to wrap a second vehicle shortly.
The city wouldn't allow us to post a free-standing sign, so we needed another form of advertising. We tell everyone to look for the red trailer, and it works! We've tried coupons and yellow pages ads, but they don't stack up to the results we get from this one trailer.
Needing to separate ourselves from the competition, we wrapped our trailer. It draws customers wherever we go, and has been, by far, the most effective form of advertising we've tried.
We wanted something that made our vehicles stand out from the crowd - something that made us unique. The wrap was way more expensive than we had originally planned for but it has paid for itself many times over since we had it done.
We use radio and yellow page advertising along with our wrapped vehicles, but if I had to choose one thing to keep it would easily be the wrap. We get multiple calls daily from people that have seen the wrap.
We're getting a lot more mileage out of our service fleet -- marketing mileage, that is! Calls for new business have increased dramatically since Meek's Signs & Stripes (a Tulsa-based FELLERS Certified Wrap Provider) wrapped our trucks. Great quality that's great for our business.
