What is a Wrap?

A wrap is the newest and most innovative thing to hit the advertising world in years! Think of a wrap as a full-color mobile billboard. However, a wrap doesn't have to be only on a car. Wraps can also be on walls, floors, or just about any surface. Our customers have wrapped everything from fleets of vehicles to entire hotel lobbies!

What is the process of a wrap?

Once you've chosen a FELLERS Certified Wrap Provider in your area, it's time to proceed to the actual wrap process.

Vehicle Wraps

The vehicle wrap process involves a few simple steps:

  1. Design
  2. Production
  3. Install
  4. Remove/replace

The first step is the design process, during which you will consult with your chosen wrap provider about your advertising goals and desired look of the wrap. The graphic designer will then work up a proof for you to approve.

Once you've finalized the design, the production phase of your wrap will begin. Your design will be printed on large sections of a special kind of vinyl meant for use on vehicles, and then laminated to provide weather-resistance and the desired finish - usually either gloss or matte.

Installation typically takes 1-2 days, depending on the size and difficulty of your particular vehicle, and will usually occur in the wrap provider's own facility. The providers utilize a variety of industry tools, including a plastic squeegee for application, a razor knife to trim edges, and a torch to heat the vinyl for better workability.

Wall Wraps

The wall wrap process is even simpler than the vehicle wrap process, although they often become much larger scale jobs than vehicles. The same steps are taken, with the exception of an on-site installation. A variety of materials are made for wrapping walls both indoors and out, short-term and long. Whether it's brick, concrete, glass or metal, you can cover it with vinyl.

Why do I need a wrap?

Vehicle wraps represent one of the greatest milestones in the history of advertising. Wraps allow you to personalize your vehicle with almost any conceivable message or design. With the advent of large format digital inkjet printers, we now have the ability to utilize modern graphic design methods to produce large-scale signage quickly and easily. While these capabilities have existed for about a decade, the industry is really just now catching on, and the wrap boom has begun!

You need to wrap your vehicle(s) for the following key reasons:

  1. According to studies, vehicle wraps offer the most bang for your buck as a form of advertising. Wrap advertising costs are as low as $0.48 per thousand impressions. As a comparison, television can cost over $20 for the same reach!
  2. Wraps have a one-time cost rather than the monthly cost of things like phone book listings, radio ads, TV ads, and billboards.
  3. Wraps are not stationary. They go where you go, exposing your message to a brand new group of consumers each and every day.
  4. The results are real. Ask yourself right now if you can think of a company in your town with wrapped vehicles. We bet you can ...

The value is not just in wrapping vehicles. Wall wraps provide a non-destructive, inexpensive way to advertise or decorate virtually any flat surface. For example, a row of business storefronts on any given street are likely to utilize some form of permanent signage, such as neon lights or other manufactured signs. But a wall wrap can cover the whole face of a building, including its windows, thereby converting the entire storefront to a sign. The beauty is that the wrap can be removed/replaced at any time without destroying the surface to which it's applied, allowing you to utilize all that surface area you're leasing to advertise your business.
