Thanks to Totally Dynamic's eye-catching vehicle wrap, Muttley's Cutz has seen a significant increase in its doggie throughput.
Julia Emmerson, owner of Muttley's Cutz, said: "Wherever our van is seen it soon became clear that it was attracting lots of attention. Initially, we simply used a car and no one could tell what our business was. Now, with our very colourful and attractive wrap, it's clear that we are dog-groomers who deliver a great result and people want to know more."

It used to be that if you needed brilliant long-lasting color for banners, bus wraps, billboards, posters and mesh fencing you had to pollute. Not once but twice. Once to create it, and once to dump it. This is no longer true.
Utilizing a new non-toxic water-based ink, Caliber Signs in Tempe, AZ., is the first Arizona company to produce ozone pollutant-free banners and other commercial materials for businesses. "The new 75-percent water, 25-percent latex ink is an industry first," said Mike La Porte, vice president of business development at Caliber Signs.

At a cost of $2,400 to $3,500 for a "wrap," many businesses are finding that using these mobile billboards are more economical and permanent than renting a traditional billboard, said Guy Laesser, owner of Unitech Applications in LeRoy, Genesee County. His company installs these vinyl wraps on cars, trucks, buses, tractor-trailers, trains, buildings and even football stadiums. While he and his staff have covered Rochester's buses and splashed giant murals of writers on the walls of Barnes & Noble stores, he says the Rochester area is lagging behind Buffalo and larger cities in the use of car wraps.
"It's just really starting to take hold in this area," Laesser said.

[Vehicle wraps allow] penetration into the social fabric of a community like no other medium. People are social animals and everyone interacts with different sets of people daily such as work colleagues, friends, relatives and various other social circles. The wrap invariably becomes a talking point and evolves into a powerful selling tool, taking on a life of its own wherever it is seen. Viral Marketing in action? Probably and at no extra cost.

As many tuners are still saving their pennies to opt for custom paint jobs, vinyl has to be bigger and bolder than ever to compete. The unique exterior wrap on Donohue's RX-8 came courtesy of boyfriend Brandon, whose professional work in the field became the inspiration for Donohue's bubblegum pop vinyl wrap. Adding to this theme, the interior trim had been selectively painted pink to match portions of the exterior vinyl. Even the calipers and parking lights are pink.

Originally designed as a means of creating mobile advertising, vehicle wraps have witnessed rapid growth in North America in recent years. The market, which is in the growth stage, is a long way from saturation. The medium enables wide marketing outreach, and the effectiveness of the advertising as well as its aesthetic appeal has been the reason behind the huge demand for vehicle wraps.

Signs Now makes decals and insignias that transform a white sport utility vehicle into an Iraqi police car with blue doors, or a rented pickup truck into a military vehicle decked out in camouflage. The company produces the so-called vehicle wraps for Mission Essential Personnel LLC, a defense contractor, which helps train U.S. troops before they deploy to Iraq or Afghanistan. Thirty vehicles transformed from rental cars into taxis, ambulances and police vehicles were used primarily in training with the U.S. Army's Fifth and Third Stryker Brigades at Fort Lewis.

Ray-Ban's six-story 'adverart' work has been unveiled in the heart of Manhattan as part of the brand's 'Project Colorize' marketing concept. But how to generate interest?
Ray-Ban's answer was to stage a series fake-flash mobs. Street teams converged onto 6th avenue, staring at the ad, decked out in Ray-Ban shades (obviously), and froze like statues.
The result? Lots of passing commuters stopping in their tracks to see what the mobbers were looking at.
